Red-tailed hawk is a bird of fire

born of the sun

cools its wings in mountain blue

Snowy owl

flew mature

from the full moon

one cold, white winter night

Bright sun rises from the mountain east

Full moon descends to the western mountain.

Red-tailed hawk screams of fire

hunts high above the eastern meadow.

Snowy owl, silent as snow

hunts close above the western meadow

white above white snow.

Moon sets behind the mountain

Cold winter clouds wrap the sun

Snow on the meadow,

quiet,

white as winter.
